La Rochelle

I'm in the humid little sea port known as La Rochelle. Staying with a very nice host family consisting of a mother named Marie and her hot as hell son, Benji. The class they put me in is really intensive. We go every day at 9 AM and go until 4 PM with a two hour lunch break. The classes are entirely in French. La Rochelle is an interesting mix of industrial deco, kitchy seaport, classic french, and medieval buildings. It's very different from Paris. Paris seemed like a huge city with an overbearing history that lorded over it. I really loved that. La Rochelle seems like a town that happens to have a long history but is more focused on the sea and much more laid back.

Update

Well, I'm here. Been here a few days. The hostel I stayed at SSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKEEEEDDDDD!!!!!! Paris is nice. Its nice to look at all the beauty and culture interlaced with graffiti and pollution. It's kind of poetic. People have managed to tag some of the most interesting places, like the inside tunnels of the metro. I'm still wondering how they've managed to do that. Our hotel here is nice. Been sight seeing a bit. Saw the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides (Napoleon's tomb), L'Ecole Militare, the outside of Notre Dame, and the Latin Quarter. Latin Quarter is really nice and has its own character. Only downside to it is that there are men harassing you to eat at there restaurant. But it is lovely.
Paris is pretty damn hot. I've been sweating like Whitney Houston going through customs. Metro is nice, but the DC Metro is better. Ummm, can't think of much more to say, so I will talk to you all later.

My new blog for France!

As most of you know, I'll be studying in France for a large portion of the Summer and this and the good old Faceplace may be the only ways I have to communicate with you. So, here it is, my new blog: Adventures in Frenchland!
